How I work

I do the work, and I am responsible for what I deliver. AI helps with drafting; it does not take over my judgement or your organisation's decisions.

I work fully remotely with Singapore SMEs outside healthcare.

1. Start with a short conversation

DM @alewyl1 on X to arrange a free intro call or remote coffee chat. Tell me what the business does, what is prompting the review and what you want to decide.

Please do not send customer records, credentials or confidential documents in the DM. The first conversation is to establish the fit and likely scope, not to collect your data.

2. Agree the scope and fixed price

Before work starts, I provide a scope document and fixed quote. It sets out:

  • The service, entities, systems, vendors and AI uses covered.
  • Deliverables and exclusions.
  • Client inputs, responsibilities and approvers.
  • The sequence, dependencies and timeline drivers.
  • A set number of review rounds, agreed in the quote.
  • Acceptance criteria, sign-off and handover arrangements.
  • Confidentiality, secure sharing and working-file handling.

You approve the scope and quote before I begin. These are the factors that affect pricing.

3. Agree confidentiality and gather the minimum

I keep your information confidential and am happy to sign an NDA. We agree the sharing method, who may access the material and where the work will be kept before you share it.

I ask for the minimum information needed. Where possible, I work in your systems, such as your shared drive, rather than make extra copies.

I start with descriptions, system lists and made-up or de-identified samples. I do not need a copy of your customer database, and I do not put client personal data into AI tools. If a sample cannot be safely de-identified, I use a description or a made-up example instead.

4. Review the facts and draft the work

I check the agreed processes, documents and evidence, then draft the deliverables. I distinguish a confirmed finding from an unanswered question, a recommendation or a decision your team still needs to make.

My AI drafting workflow uses templates, process descriptions, system lists and made-up or de-identified examples. I check the output, correct it and personally review and sign off every deliverable.

AI helps with the draft. I own the sign-off.

5. Work through the agreed review rounds

Your team checks that the facts and proposed processes fit the business. I work through the comments within the agreed scope and review rounds, keeping unresolved decisions visible.

Your responsibilities include providing accurate information, involving the right process owners and approving the business choices. For DPO support, you appoint your own DPO and keep the organisation's approvals with your team.

6. Accept, sign off and hand over

I check the deliverables against the agreed acceptance criteria and record anything still open. Your named approver confirms acceptance and the decisions your organisation owns.

My sign-off confirms my review of the deliverables. Your sign-off records your organisation's acceptance and approval; it is not a certification or a guarantee of compliance.

I hand over the final files, ownership notes and agreed next actions. At the end of the work, I return or delete working files in line with the agreed handling arrangements and confirm this in writing.

If the scope changes

I describe the change, its effect on deliverables and timing, and the fixed price for the extra work before proceeding. You decide whether to approve it, defer it or keep the original scope.

A new system, entity, language, AI use or substantial document rebuild may change the scope. So can extra review rounds; I do not silently add them to the engagement.
